Dear parents/carers,
Dear parents and carers,
What a wonderful Christmassy week we have had here at HNTPS, on our count down to the end of a very busy Autumn term. The class 1 and class 2 nativity performances were fantastic. The children have worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, sing all their songs and look amazing in their costumes. Thank you to all our families who came along to support their children and bring them back for their evening performance. The children definitely shared the true meaning of Christmas; bringing joy, peace and happiness to everyone. A huge thanks to the children, parents and staff for all the hard work and efforts that go on behind the scenes to make these performances magical!
Our Meeting with our linked School SDM in India
On Wednesday, our Key stage 2 children joined a meeting alongside Beaford Primary to share the meaning of Christmas and how we celebrate with our linked school SDM in India. It was lovely to hear how the children could share their own unique traditions, share special time with family and friends and spread joy through singing a range of Christmas Carols and traditional Christmas songs with each other. Our children in SDM shared some songs with the children at HNTPS and Beaford.
Christmas Carol Singing with the Lunch Bunch
Our key stage 2 choir were also busy on Wednesday after lunch performing some traditional Christmas carols and popular Christmas songs to the local residents who were attending their Christmas Lunch Bunch at Lovacott Hall. The children thoroughly enjoyed singing a range of songs and, from the numerous smiling faces who had just had their lunch, we feel the local residents enjoyed the entertainment. The children enjoyed the generous chocolates given to them by the Lunch Bunch team. Thank you to Mrs Dorrell and Mrs Hopkins for co-ordinating this event.
Christingle Service – Wednesday 17th December
Just to remind all our key stage 2 parents (class 3 and 4) that we would like to invite you to our Christingle Service in the Gospel Hall on Wednesday afternoon at 2:45pm. The children will be creating their Christingles on Wednesday morning and will be taking them home on Wednesday afternoon, following our Christingle Service.
Christmas Jumper Day/Christmas Dinner
We are all looking forward to Mrs Robinson’s delicious Christmas dinner next Wednesday. Please do let us know by Monday, if your child/ren does not require a school dinner on that day, otherwise we will assume they are having a Christmas meal.
Children can wear their school uniform with their Christmas jumper to school on Wednesday. There will be no charge for this.
Christmas Party Lunch
On the last day of term, the children are invited to wear their party clothes/own clothes to school. Class teachers will inform parents if they are planning anything with their classes across the week by email. Please do let us know by Monday if you do not want your child/ren to have a party lunch on Friday, otherwise we will include them in our numbers for Christmas party food.
FRIENDS Christmas Fayre
We would like to extend a big thank you to the FRIENDS for organising the very successful Christmas Fayre in the Village Hall, which took place this week. The event was hugely enjoyed by all those attending – thank you for helping our PTA team raise funds to enable all the children to enjoy more learning opportunities during the academic year.
FRIENDS Hamper Draw
Just to remind all our parents that the FRIENDS Christmas Hamper draw will take place in next week’s celebration assembly. We will be in contact with the winners to collect their hampers from school. If you require any additional tickets, please do pop into the office as we have a few books of tickets still available. Thank you all so much for the kind donations for the hampers and return of tickets. Our FRIENDS team work incredibly hard to raise money which supports the school in many ways!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Cook
